NBG BUSINESS SEEDS 2021

The winners of the 11th Innovation & Technology Competition of the NBG Business Seeds program of the National Bank of Greece were announced with a simple event via video conference due to the preventive Covid-19 measures. The event was attended by the President of the National Bank Costas Michailidis, as well as Christina Theofilidi, General Manager of Retail Banking of the National Bank.

Mr. Michailidis underlined that the National Bank is a helper in strengthening the innovation in Greece with the technology and the digital transformation being at the core of the bank for better operation and services to the customers.

Ms. Theofilidi stated that despite the pandemic, the large and multifaceted program of NBG Business Seeds was successfully completed while the 11th competition attracted a record participation with 468 applications while highlighting the support of the National Bank in the Greek Startup environment. Specifically, it invests in five Equifund funds as well as in two new ones, while it has already made 85 investments in Greek Startups.
